2017 Cal Alumni Survey: The Cal Experience
Alumni were asked to provide their impressions regarding various aspects of their experience at UC Berkeley, as well as their current feelings about Cal. The findings are consistent with survey response data gathered over the past six years.
Alumni feel very positive about UC Berkeley.
80% feel great pride in UC Berkeley.
48% feel a great deal of emotional connection to UC Berkeley.
Respondents most commonly said they identify with the university as a whole, then with the school, college, or department from which they received their degree.
Alumni want to stay connected to UC Berkeley.
71% of alumni stay connected to Cal because they want to connect with alumni living in the same area.
53% of alumni stay connected to Cal because they want to connect with alumni who share common interests.
