Google Cal Corporate Alumni Committee

Cal alumni at Google are forming the Cal Corporate Alumni Committee, with a staffed Google Alumni Committee and toolkit from CAA. This committee will host networking events and work with alumni who are interested in career development, volunteering, and lifestyle activities.

Meet the Team

Travis Zimbelman ’15
Team Lead, Haas School of Business

Travis Zimbelman is a Program Manager in Google’s Electronic Payments team, with several years of project management, finance, and consulting experience. Travis received his BA in International Business from Northwestern College and is currently pursuing his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. In addition, Travis also serves on the board of Raising A Reader-Bay Area, a non-profit that promotes early childhood literacy in low-income families.

 

Walter Rodriguez ’13
Communications Chair

Walter is a legal assistant in Google’s Legal Department where he handles different types of legal processes. Walter received his B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 2013. During his spare time, he enjoys watching documentaries, playing basketball, and finding ways to give back to his community.

 

Matt Werner ’07
New York Advisor, UC Berkeley, B.A. English

Matt Werner has been a technical writer in Enterprise since 2010. He writes public documentation for Google Apps, Android for Work, and Chromebooks for Education. He received his BA from UC Berkeley in English in 2007 while riding for Cal Cycling. He’s the youngest of four Cal grads from a multi-generation UC Berkeley family.

 

Chris Rhyu ’10
Outreach Chair, UC Berkeley, B.A. Economics and Psychology

Chris is a Financial Analyst on the revenue forecasting team at Google, with a background in data and economic analysis. Chris received a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from UC Berkeley, graduating with Highest Distinction. At Cal, she was a member of the Cal Dance Team and Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is an avid Cal football fan, having held season tickets every year since graduating, and traveling to at least one away game each season to support the Golden Bears.

 

Adrienne Sancho ’08
UC Berkeley, B.A. Asian American Studies, Education Minor

Adrienne has been working with Google’s Legal Department since 2009 and handles matters from the Asia Pacific Region. Also, she is the cultural committee chair for the Asian Google Network. Adrienne joined Cal Band during her second year and continues to assist with drumline rehearsals. When not at Cal-related events, she enjoys yoga, aerial silks, and live music.

 

Dan Khuong ’13
Strategic Initiatives
MBA, Haas School of Business

Dan is currently working on moonshots in the world of GoogleX. He has been at Google for over 10 years and has worked on a variety of projects ranging from Chrome to Google Websearch and has taken on a variety of roles, from engineering to product management.

Dan is a bay area native and received his MBA from Haas in 2013. In his spare time, he enjoys anything that exercises the mind and body, traveling to new places, and good food and company.

 

Mona Weng ’12
UC Berkeley, B.A. International Economic Relations/ISF, Chinese Minor

Mona is currently a New Business Marketing Strategist who works with startups and high-potential new businesses. On the side, she also serves as the Google Diversity Markets Asian Project Co-Lead, Asian Google Network Community Outreach Co-Chair, and an Onboarding Facilitator for Nooglers. In her spare time, she loves to travel, try out different cuisines, and sing. While at Cal, she had the opportunity to study abroad twice at both the University of Hong Kong and National Taiwan University.

 

Brianne Limber ’10, Corporate Liaison Chair
UC Berkeley, B.A. Economics

Brianne is an Analytical Lead in the Social and Information vertical within Large Customer Sales at Google. She previously worked in Economic Consulting and joined Google in 2012. While at Cal, she was president of the Economics Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, learning Spanish, and volunteering with the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center.

 

Erik Beans ’00 and ’14
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
MBA, Haas School of Business

Erik has been working at Google in software engineering for almost a decade. He is currently building a security platform to manage Google’s group systems in the Corporate Engineering product area. In the past, he has worked on Google Sites, Webdriver, and internal tools for people management. Erik is a two-time Cal graduate, having completed his undergraduate studies in 2000 in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Erik received his MBA from the Haas School of Business in 2014. He is passionate about travel, technology, and meeting new people.

 

LeAnn Estill ’09
Outreach Co-Chair
Haas School of Business, B.S. Business Administration

LeAnn is a technical writer and focuses on the user experience for Android apps and devices. She received a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley. During her time at Cal, LeAnn was the External Vice President of the Undergraduate Marketing Association, and she also worked for The Daily Californian as an account executive. In her spare time, LeAnn loves to run, go horseback riding, and explore San Francisco.
