For many of us, the sound of the Campanile's carillon bells is inseparable from our memories of Berkeley, marking the hours between classes, ringing out across Sproul Plaza, and standing tall as the heart of campus life. As a longtime LEGO enthusiast, I kept asking myself: why isn't there a LEGO set for UC Berkeley?
So I designed one.

John Garrison's ’93 book, Red Hot + Blue, was published by Bloomsbury in September 2024. The book recounts the music's industry's first major response to the AIDS epidemic in the context of Garrison's own coming of age story. More about John's writing can be found at www.john-garrison.com.
John Garrison's book, The Pleasures of Memory in Shakespeare's Sonnets, has just been published by Oxford University Press. He enjoyed the opportunity to explore the nature of recollection - from the Renaissance "memory arts" to modern-day psychology - in this famous set of poems.
Willie Hernandez, head of legal for the Messenger division at Meta, has been appointed to Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area’s board of directors for a three-year term, which began in January.
