I am currently more than 98 years old, a veteran of WWII (1944 to 1946), disabled, but still trying to meet the challenges as best as I can. I received my master’s in economics in 1950 and my teaching credential in 1954, both at Cal. My pain was somebody else’s fun. I served as a teacher throughout much of my career, including in Japan, retiring in 2000. I still correspond with my former students in other countries.
