Aleksandra Vasilyuk (Comp Lit, ’05) published her debut novel, Your Presence is Mandatory, with Bloomsbury under her author name, Sasha Vasilyuk. The novel spans from WWII until the Russia-Ukraine conflict and is based on real events. Sasha has written about Russia and Ukraine for the New York Times, CNN, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, NBC, KQED, and others. She looks forward to speaking about the book at Berkeley in Fall 2024.
Benjamin C. Lau of nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. has been elevated to principal. Ben is an attorney in the firm’s Los Angeles office and represents public and private employers in labor and employment law matters.
